Our shoes are made with PEFC certified naturally renewable plant-based materials; cork, wood or wicker, as well as certified vegetable-tanned leathers, recycled polyester thread, and EcoTpu soles. Our re-useable tote bags are made from certified Organic Cotton, our packaging is fully recyclable and where possible, we have used post-consumer recycled papers.
Considering the natural materials within this product we highly recommend particular care in its use and wear. Small imperfections and colour variations are features of this artisanal handmade product and therefore should not be considered as defects. One of the beautiful natural characteristics of vegetable-tanned leather is that it will darken over time, a feature that we love giving the shoes an individual personality. To maintain and preserve your Raíz Atelier shoes, avoid prolonged exposure to sources of light. We recommend storing the product in its original packaging when not in use.
We hope you cherish your Raíz shoes for years to come, however should you reach a point where you no longer require them, please remember they are compostable via our #reRaíz project. Please return your pre-loved worn Raíz shoes back to us (in a clean state, where possible) and we will ensure their return to the earth, as compost, to nourish the soil for new roots to grow. This is done through our official composting partner.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with more details on how to do this.
